Star Trek Enterprise-D Bridge Restoration

Making sure the Enterprise lives long and prospers...

I have a confession…

I’m very lost when it comes to making page layouts. And I need a layout that has room for some quick info about us, a link to our page, a link to our ask box, and maybe something to tie in to the same theme as our home page (which I have saved images for). Can anyone tell me how to create a page layout for Tumblr and set it up? Or would anyone be willing to help us out? I’d really appreciate it, guys. <3

HEY!

Wanna know all about our Interactive Educational Enterprise-D Bridge restoration and Future Sci-Fi Museum?

Here are Star Trek legends Ronald D. Moore, Denise Crosby and Larry Nemecek telling you all about our non-profit goals. We are not affiliated with CBS or Paramount, this is being done BY FANS, FOR FANS!

Comicpalooza: Houston, TX!

GUESS WHERE WE’LL BE THIS WEEKEND?!

Thaaaaat’s right! Comicpalooza in Houston, TX!

And what an exciting convention this will be! We will, of course, be bringing our restored pieces (including the chairs which you can, and always will be able to, sit in for free and take pictures!) and we will be accepting donations as well as selling T-shirts and perhaps other items! Although we don’t know the specific floor location yet, we will update once we have it. Just look for either “Star Trek Enterprise-D Bridge Restoration” or “New Starship Foundation”. You won’t be able to miss us. ; ) Come, chat, take pictures, and be a part of this huge movement that is by the fans and for the fans.

For those who don’t know what we’re doing here, we are a non-profit organization working on restoring the bridge of the Enterprise-D from Star Trek: the Next Generation and turning it into an interactive video game experience and educational museum! Now, when we say museum, we don’t mean that everything will be behind glass… NO! Sit in the chairs! Fire phasers from tactical! Navigate the Enterprise! Command your crew! And this is all 100% non-profit—even after we open. We’ll keep the lights on through donations and whatever profits we do make will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Habitat for Humanity. Gene Roddenberry wouldn’t have wanted something that only caters to those who can afford it… He believed that this should be available to everyone and that’s what we believe, as well.

Well, we look forward to your support and we hope to see you in Houston!

Big News!!!

WE’VE HEARD FROM PARAMOUNT PICTURES!!!!!

For being such a relatively young project, we’ve already gotten HUGE support from some major names! Names like Ronald D. Moore, Larry Nemecek, William Shatner, and most of the cast of Next Generation including other stars who aren’t associated with Star Trek but are huge Trekkies anyways! But, we’ve now heard from the biggest one of all… Paramount!!! And they’ve agreed to donate Blu-Ray’s, DVD’s, and other amazing things to put on our Kickstarter page!!! This is HUGE and freakin’ awesome, guys! This is the first contact and I’m sure more will come so please, stay tuned and keep the word going about us!!!

Live long and prosper!

Our Prime Directive.

This is an ongoing project to entirely restore an official Star Trek: Next Generation Enterprise Bridge set that Paramount created in the late 1990′s to be used for display, after the ORIGINAL TV Set was COMPLETELY DESTROYED in the film STAR TREK:GENERATIONS. This replica set was created under the supervision of Herman Zimmerman and Michael Okuda.

In late 2011, we rescued the ENTIRE STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION ENTERPRISE D BRIDGE from BEING DESTROYED! Paramount had built it using fiberglas instead of wood, and it survived for nearly 5 years, but had since been long forgotten.

It is our Prime Directive to completely restore the STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION D Bridge Set to make it a Fully Interactive, Simulator available for Display, Parties, Movie Showings, Fundraising, Charities, Fan Films, as well as newly created interactive Education Missions, so entire classrooms of students can steer the Enterprise to other planets, galaxies and more!

We also have a Facebook, Twitter and Reddit page!

And make sure to follow us here! You’ll love us on your dashboard.

More to come soon! Live long and Prosper!
